Afternoon Light, Dusy Basin
Afternoon Light, Dusy Basin
December, 2011

Midway along the crest of the High Sierra, dividing the San Joaquin and Kings River drainages, the Palisades massif rises to over 14,000 foot heights. Lying immediately to the west of the Palisades Crest, "god rays" penetrate dissipating cumulus, shining earthward from the heavens upon the lakes of Dusy Basin and the distant LeConte Canyon.
