Paralleling the trail to Lake Reflection, East Creek's twisting ribbon of liquid silver, decorated by wildflowers and choked by root and rock, cascades gracefully through its namesake canyon at late summer ebb. A deeply furrowed, sun–bleached juniper log adds an interesting dimension of texture, mimicking turbulent current and eddy as East Creek flows ever downward to its eventual rendezvous with Bubbs Creek. See Lake Relection (2009) for the full story.
