Pohono Bridge, Winter
Pohono Bridge, Winter
February, 2002

The Pohono Bridge, at the western end of the Valley, is just about my favorite man–made structure in Yosemite, with the possible exception of the Ahwahnee Hotel. Its graceful, limbering arch and crowning stonework spanning the glassy Merced River never disappoints, no matter the season.
