I have published two new exhibit format monographs of my gelatin silver prints (GSP) in the Sierra Nevada and Yosemiite in the exciting Apple Multi–Touch iBook format. Both are now available worldwide on the Apple iTunes Bookstore. They are intended to be updatable, living digital representations of all my fine art prints available within in any region. photo LA 2014
Range of Light Photography will be at photo LA, January 16 – 19, 2014, booth #118. I will be there throughout the event, including the Thursday Night Gala, a benefit for Inner City Arts. There will be matted and windowed gelatin silver prints (GSP) for sale (10% show discount) in sizes from 11"x14" to 20"x24", framed work on the walls, and notecard sets. Autumn in the High Sierra (Come Walk with Me…)
I am often asked what it is like, out there, photographing in beautiful places. As someone who has spent a lifetime in wild places, it can be difficult to answer the question, to communicate with any amount of coherent sincerity the wholesale commitment of body and spirit to being there. Perhaps, "You have to be there", comes closest.
You have to experience sublime landscapes and wildest nature with the cold wind on your sleepy face as the dawning sun crests a distant ridge, (...)
