I first photographed the trail leading to this bridge many years previous with my Nikon FM SLR. The harsh contrast inherent in the fine grained 35 millimeter film allowed me only a few prints on warm–tone paper, but I always knew I could come back and do a much better job with large format equipment. The result finally met my criteria for a true fine print.
