Grass Form, Siesta Lake
Grass Form, Siesta Lake
August, 2008

Shadowy forest, ever watchful in its reflections, scintillating lilies languidly floating through the lake's monochrome hues, and elegant grasses (more likely sedges) reaching out and then bowing gracefully down to the water, present an inescapably compelling composition of the commonest of natural elements. Within seconds of making an exposure, the morning stillness gave way to gentle breezes just strong enough to unfold the grasses from their ingenuously artistic form.
